A milestone...

So after 21 days of HCG drops I am down to 150pounds from 170+. My ultimate goal to be between 135-140.. I have 19 more days of drops.. Wish me the best of luck!!! I have lost over 20 pounds in 3 weeks

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DAY

So I am now down to 154.4!!! That goal of 150 by Saturday keeps looking better and better. I also discovered a great new food. I made homemade chicken noodle soup for my family today and since you are NOT supposed to mix vegetables I cooked up some chicken and celery in some broth. Most of the broth boiled out.. but it was delicious!!!! Thanks to everyone that is cheering me along...

A new goal

So this morning I woke up and found Iam at 155.2!!!!! My new goal is to be down to 150 by next Sunday.... Because I didn't take the HCG for a week due to the fav. monthly visitor... I still have 25 possible days of drops... making today only day 14 of actually taking the drops and I am down 21.2 pounds!!!
For any of you out there looking foods to eat... I reccomend spinach with either cut up seasoned chicken or shrimp... And NO I have not had any hunger problems as of yet... My final goal... to be at or below 140

Back on track

So when I studied about HCG I read that if you cheat on a meal it will cost you about 3 days to get back on track... DEFFINATELY true... I had my cheat meal on Wednesday and now it is Saturday and I am seeing the wieght dissappear again after a day of gain and a day of no loss at all...

A small set back

SO my weight loss has been going AMAZINGLY!!! On Wednesday I had a funeral to attend and after a personal invitaion from the family to attend the luncheon after the service. I had a cheat meal... And YES I did regain about 3/4 of a pound but nothing horrible. and today I was at no loss. So for all of you out there trying this diet. DON'T CHEAT ON YOUR 500 CALORIES UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TOO!!!! Fell free to leave questions or comments at any time...

The weight up date

SO when i started this journey 17 days ago I weighed in at 175.6 pounds I am now down to 156.8 which makes for a total loss of 18.8 pounds!!! for an average of 1.1 pounds per day... granted some days have been more the others seeing success makes it possible..and easier then anyother diet I have been on.

A fundamentals of HCG

Many of you have asked a LOT of questions. SO let me give you the basics of this diet. Here is how it works HCG is the hormone in your body that tells your body to burn your extra fat if you are pregnant and not eating enough. That way your baby can continue to develope. If you are not pregnant and you take this hormone in cunjunction with a LOW CALORIE DIET, your hypothalamus in your brain will trigger the burn of your excess fat. This also rests your body so that once your EXCESS fat is gone your body will contine to burn your food instead of storing it up.
When you diet your fat cells shrink but do not go away, this completely gets rid of them. While on the HCG you my only eat certain foods. These foods provide ultimate amounts of protien, and vitamins, with minimal calories and fat. There is also no need to take a vitamin supplement because your excess fat stores also contain vitamins, so when that fat is releasse so are those nutrients.These are the foods you are allowed to eat while on the diet:
1.Meats: 3.5ounces of beef, veal,boneless skinless chicken breasts,shrimp, crab, whitefish (cod etc), lobster.. Must be grilled or boiled with all visible fat removed
2.Vegetables: 3.5 ounces(only one type no combining) spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, fennel, onions, radishes, cucumbers, asparagus,
cabbage.
3. one Melba Toast (in cracker isle) 2 times a day
4. Fruit: apple, orange 6 strawberries, or 1/2 grapefruit
You are to eat the meat and vegetable for your LUNCH and DINNER the fruit and toast can be eaten at anytime but you cannot eat 2 servings together.. you must drink 2 liters of water everyday...

Day 15

Honestly I was a little bummed out this week my favorite time of the month happened and when you are on that you are not supposed to take the HCG... SO for two days my weight loss dropped to a combined total of 4 ounces... But I am HAPPY to report it sprang back up and I am at a 15 day total of
17 and 1/2 pounds
and 8 inches
the best part is I FEEL GREAT!!!!!

DAY 4-11 all combined

So I am going to roll all my days into one post to get you all caught up with today!!
Day 4 Weight: 175.6 Loss of .8lbs
Day 5 weight: 171.2 Loss of 4.4lbs
Day 6 weight: 165.2 Loss of 6.0lbs
Day 7 weight: 163.6 Loss of 1.6lbs
Day 8 weight: 162.6 Loss of 1.0lbs
Day 9 weight: 161.8 Loss of .8lbs
Day 10 weight: 160.8 Loss of 1.0lbs
Day 11 weight: 160.6 Loss of .2lbs (beginning of Peroid)

I chose to count my weight loss from my highest weight so I have lost a total of
15lbs and 2 ounces!!!

DAY 3

This was my last day of EATING. And I tell you what the idea of cutting to 500 calories a day has NEVER sounded SOOOOO GOOOD.... Diet here I come!!!!
Weight day 3: 176.4
I sure hope that this new found weight melts away like butter on a hot skillet or I might cry FOREVER

DAY 2

Yet another day of eating until I could puke... not my favorite past time....
Weight day 2: 174.2

Day 1

I actually started this diet on the 21st day of February. Those of you who are familiar with the HCG diet know that in the first three days you have to eat as MUCH FOOD as POSSIBLE!! This I did and I watched the scale go up and up and up....
Weight day one: 172.2
IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU EAT AS MUCH FATTY FOOD AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY STAND>>>

In the beginning....

So this my attempt to blog my journey with the EVER POPULAR HCG-diet. For those of you that don't know or are in the "interested but not sure phase" HCG is the hormone that appears in your body when you become pregnant. If you don't eat enough food it signals your brain to tell your body to burn your excess fat stores. Once that part of your brain has been reset if you follow a healthy diet you should see nothing but success.
My mother-in-law brought this diet to my attention. After having 3 kids in 5 years and 2knee and one shoulder surgery I knew it was time time to do something. So this is what I choose. I would like to invite you to follow me on my journey and see where it takes me.
